This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://lockbin.com (the Site).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages you view on the site, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as Device Information. It helps us make sure our site can accommodate your device and that visitors are finding what they need. Primarily we collect this information through Google analytics whom we have instructed to anonymize the data.

DATA RETENTION When you voluntarily place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. Other than customer information you provide to use and/or pay for our services, Lockbin encrypts the information you store on our servers in the course of your using the Lockbin service to communicate with others. Our technicians cannot access the files in an unencrypted state, and will be unable to restore your access to encrypted documents should you reset your account password.

Although our technicians and employees are unable to access your data in an unencrypted state, there may be certain metadata that is accessible to them. For example, we associate encrypted files with your user account along with the time the information was uploaded to the Lockbin service.

Lockbin provides the capability for users to set their own retention policy for the data they provide in the course of using the Lockbin service to communicate with others. We set a default retention date for your encrypted data of one year, though this could change at our discretion.

CHANGES We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
